I have noticed that no change in fashion has occured from 1970s in India. When I was a small boy, I saw parallel pants for gents which changed to body fitting and low waist to bell bottoms. The fashion changed and men’s pants were a little relaxed with narrow bottom. Baggies arrived and were a hit as disco days were getting over. Many new film actors and star sons made their debut in these pants. These baggy pants were much similar to the parallel pants been worn by people of my childhood. Yeateryears film actress Mumtaz’s short kurta design became a hot selling cake which refused to die between 2009 to 2011.
However now I see a ray of hope. I see a lot of designers coming from Pakistan in India to showcase their stuff like.Their fashion is very much dependent on Arabian fashion. Pictures below will support in understanding my point
…STARS WEAR THEM & ITS PASSED ON TO THE PUBLIC
…AND ITS WESTERN AVTAAR
KAFTAANS FINDING PLACE IN TODAY”S FASHION SCENARIO
I saw this trend coming in through 2009 but still has to find place in smaller cities where buyers start laughing and joking on the mere sight of the long kurtas.
ANARKALI WITH BELL SLEEVES, WILL THIS FIND A PERMANENT PLACE ?
According to my view Sherwanis like the ones below can find a good place for a long time
THIS DRESS WILL INSPIRE….
…THE HIJAAB….
…AND THIS STYLE.
I DOUBT, THIS WIDE SLEEVE WILL FIND A PLACE
AS HAVE THESE WIDE PANTS
MY KNOWLEDGE ASSURES ME THAT THESE (BELOW) WILL RULE FOR A GOOD TIME
THIS EVERGREEN FASHION NEVER DIES
AND THIS WILL BE OUT VERY SOON
LIKE THE SHORT PYJAMA STYLE
They will one day get to the common man before fading away, which seems a little far away. This new fashion trend lokks like it is here to stay and it must stay here too. After all we are witnessing somthing new.
